Outlook: Out of connectivity when connected to VPN

Replication:

  • Connect to VPN using OpenVPN
  • Open Outlook
  • Outlook wont connect.

Solution:

  • Go to REGEDIT as Admin
  • Modify the following path.
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\EnableActiveProbing
  • Set Key to 1 (was 0).

Close and restart.
